Filey MP 'very confident' national lockdown will end in a month
Kevin Hollinrake says he expects it to be lifted on December 3rd.
The MP for Filey, Kevin Hollinrake, admits going into national lockdown isn't fair on the Yorkshire coast.
He says it's a shame as the area is currently in the lowest Tier of local restricitons.
It's ahead of nationwide measures which come into effect on Thursday, for at least a month.
Kevin says, despite his concerns over the economy, it's the right decision as far as protecting the NHS is concerned.
He wants the the lockdown to be lifted on Decmber 3rd and says he's 'very confident' it will be, despite there being some doubt about whether or not it might be extended beyond that date.
Kevin said:
"I think North Yorkshire, particularly, should go back to the place it is today, which is life isn't exactly as normal, but households can mix to some extent and people can go out and got to pubs, go to restaurants, visit each other's homes, sensibly. I think that's where we'll be on December 3rd."
