Parents and carers are set to find out which primary school their child has been accepted to next week (Tuesday, April 19) if they applied online.
National Offer Day is set to see parents and carers across the country find out which schools their children are going to, with notifications issued by 12pm.
Applications for appeals against places given to children close in late May and are heard from June to July.
It follows National Offer Day for secondary schools on Tuesday, March 1 comes after applications for them closed on Sunday, October 31 and on Sunday, January 15 for primaries.
People who did not apply for primary school places online are set to receive a letters from Wednesday, April 20.
National Offer Day for primary schools traditionally falls on April 16, but the timing of the Easter bank holidays this year means the date has been pushed back.
Those who applied online are due to receive the results of their applications by email.
The dates are the same for primary, infant and junior schools.
Councils are set to contact parents and carers about nursery school places on Monday, April 18.
Children who are not offered places at their first preference primary school will be offered one at their second or third.
They will also be automatically put on a waiting list for it until the end of the Autumn term in December and their parents and carers will be offered the right to appeal.
More than 94 per cent of children in Hull received places at their first preference school in 2021, up from 93 per cent the year before.
More than 3,000 children applied for places in 71 schools across the city last year, with 98 per cent getting into one of their three choices.
In the East Riding, 97.5 per cent of children were accepted to their first preference school last year, up by 0.4 per cent compared to 2020.
The proportion of children allocated places at one of their three preferred schools was 99.5 per cent, up by 0.3 per cent on the previous year.
A total of 19 out of the East Riding’s primary and infant schools were oversubscribed in 2021 after receiving more applications than they had places for.
All available places were filled at 11 more schools.
The number of children who did not receive a place at any of their parents and carers three choices was 15 but all got into schools in the East Riding.
Last year saw 34 East Riding children get places in outside the area, with 182 coming into local schools from elsewhere.
