East Riding residents urged to prepare for bank holiday weekend
East Riding CCG are reminding which NHS services are available
East Riding residents are being reminded which NHS services are available to them this bank holiday weekend.
If you need medical help, the NHS is here for you - Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), out of hours GP services and some pharmacies across the county will remain open. GP practices and most pharmacies will be closed on the bank holiday (Monday 30th August).
East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group said:
"Don’t forget to check your medicine supply for over-the-counter remedies, and make sure you order any required repeat prescriptions in good time.
"Some pharmacies will be open on bank holiday Monday to ensure you can access services if absolutely necessary. You can find the latest pharmacy bank holiday opening hours across the East Riding of Yorkshire here. These times are subject to change so please check with your pharmacy first before you attend.
"If you need to access GP services on bank holiday Monday, routine appointments are available through your GP practice in the East Riding.
"Should you need urgent medical help please visit NHS 111 online at https://111.nhs.uk. If you cannot get online, you can dial 111.
"Your local UTC can treat minor ailments such as cuts, burns and suspected minor fractures, with no appointment necessary. Find out more about East Riding UTCs here.
"If you need mental health support, the East Riding Mental Health Response Service will remain operational over the bank holiday weekend. Individuals in crisis can access their services on 01482 301701.
"For anyone with a serious or life-threatening emergency, always call 999."
