Today's the last chance for Bridlington businesses to win a festive award.

It's the extended cut-off date for entries into the Christmas retail window display competition.

A panel of judges will choose the best.

Liam Dealtry, Mayor of Bridlington, said:

"We have a judges panel from different organisations in Bridlington that actually go around and look at the window displays and then they decide the winner.

"The winner receives a lovely trophy which keep for a year and a Town Council plaque which is theirs to keep forever and ever.

"If we can get more shop windows involved, then that's just going to brighten up the centre of town. We can't have a Christmas event like we usually do this year. So if we can get every Brid retailer involved, dress your windows up the best you can to get them into the festive spirit.

"We're trying to keep Christmas alive in Bridlington during these uncertain times."

To enter, get your entry form from Bridlington Town Council Office at 2A Marshall Avenue, Bridlington, YO15 2DS. Or, download it from the Town Council's website here. Or email to civic@bridlington.gov.uk.
