Scarborough's Coronavirus rate falls again

The borough's seven-day infection rate is now the lowest it's been since October.

Scarborough’s coronavirus infection rate has dropped to its lowest level since October.

The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people in Scarborough now stands at 109, down from 132 a week ago.

It is the lowest level for the borough since October 20, though Scarborough is still averaging 17 new cases every day and 117 in total over the last week.

The average rate for England is 280, while in North Yorkshire it is 164.

Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week.

William Street Coach Park in Scarborough is still offering testing, seven days a week, from 8am until 8pm.
