Police and council officials are delivering leaflets to homes in Filey today, reminding them to stick to the national coronavirus restrictions.
It follows a doubling in the rates of Covid-19 in Scarborough borough over the past week.
The infection rate per 100,000 people in the borough now stands at 561, which is the 11th highest figure in England.
The leaflets remind people of the current national rules in force, including the reasons you can leave your home, and the ban on households mixing.
They also offer advice to those who have to self-isolate, including help with shopping and financial support available.
