There is a charity family fun day in Bridlington tomorrow in memory of a teenager who took her own life.

Chelsea Blue had an eating disorder and died in hospital last year.

Tomorrow will see ÂŁ15,000 given out to local clubs she was involved with which were Bridlington Gymnastics, Bridlington School and New Pasture Lane School Performing Arts.

The event, which also remembers her grandmother Jeanette, takes place at the Town Bar at Bridlington's Football Club from 1 pm till 6pm.

Chelsea's dad, Steve Blackford, said: "We've got Magic Mike, a children's entertainer, fairground rides, bouncy castles and lots of different entertainment. We have some great raffle and tombola prizes donated by local businesses and people.

"We didn't realise that we'd get to the places we have done with the awareness and publicity that we've got. It's been amazing and the amount of support from people is just unbelievable. If we can help save that one person by doing what we're doing then we're doing it in Chelsea's name and for us.

"Chelsea when she first got poorly, she started with an eating disorder and unfortunately we found out about Seed just after she got back into hospital and they were willing to help and work with her, so now we're raising money for them as they are an eating disorder charity.

"I'd just like to say thank you to everybody that keeps giving us as a family support, love and messages. The little messages asking how we all are really means a lot. If you want to come and show your support and help then please come down and keep doing what you do."

Steve is also running the a half marathon in Hull on Sunday in memory of Chelsea and he will be fundraising for Seed.
