A charity in Bridlington says food poverty in the town is improving.

The Hinge Centre has been helping out older people and families during the pandemic.

It's been supplying food parcels for those who need them.

The Centre's staff say the majority of those who needed support were older people, who were isolated and families who were struggling financially.

Megan Robinson is from the charity and said:

"A year on, things are getting easier. People have starting going back to work, or their financial position has improved.

Last year, children were off school, they were at home more, so there was an increased cost in gas, electric and food bills."
