Changes to East Riding services due to national lockdown
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced changes to many of its services run by Culture and Customer Services from this Thursday.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced changes to many of its services run by Culture and Customer Services from this Thursday (5 November).
It's following the announcement by the government over the weekend, and subject to final ratification by Parliament on Wednesday.
SEWERBY HALL AND GARDENS
The house, the zoo, the holiday cottages and the café will all be closed from Thursday, 5 November. The grounds and play area will remain open for people to take exercise, but people must maintain social distancing. Individuals are reminded that they can only meet one person from another household outside in a public place.
BRIDLINGTON SPA
The venue will be closed completely from Thursday, 5 November.
The box office team will contact customers who are affected by the cancellation of November shows, offering a credit to customer accounts or a full refund. However, it will still be possible to book future events online at www.bridspa.com
SOUTH CLIFF HOLIDAY PARK
It will close on Thursday, 5 November to all users. Unfortunately, all holidays are cancelled until 2 December.
CHALETS
All winter let and annual let chalets will be closed from Thursday, 5 November.
BEACHES AND PROMENADES
They will remain open, but all users must observe social distancing. The Coastal Services team will still be available on email at foreshores@eastriding.gov.uk
LOCAL NATURE RESERVES
All Local Nature Reserves will remain open, for people to take their daily exercise, but people must maintain social distancing. Individuals are reminded that they can only meet one person from another household outside in a public place. LIBRARIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRES
Information will be made available as soon as possible.
EAST RIDING LEISURE CENTRES
They will be closed completely from close of business on Wednesday, 4 November until further notice. For full details, visit https://www.eastridingleisure.co.uk/coronavirus/
All payments for memberships and swimming lessons paid for by direct debit will be automatically suspended until the leisure centres reopen. Those customers on corporate membership paid for by salary deductions may have had their November payment taken already, in such cases they will be credited with a month without deductions when Leisure Centres reopen.
EAST RIDING ARCHIVES
It will be closed from 16.00 on Wednesday, 4 November.
