North Yorkshire Police has released a CCTV image of a Scarborough woman the day before she went missing.

Searches are continuing to find Sarah West, 46, who was last seen walking towards Filey on Sunday (25th April) at around 7.30am on the A165 near Cayton Bay.

Sarah is shown to be wearing jeans, brown flat boots, a light coloured blouse and carrying a red bag. Police believe she was dressed similarly on Sunday morning when she was last seen.

North Yorkshire Police Inspector Graeme Kynman said:

“We are concentrating our searches on the Filey and Reighton areas of the east coast, particularly towards the coastline and the Cleveland Way footpath and would ask anyone out and about in these areas to be vigilant for Sarah.

“We have recently obtained a CCTV image which shows Sarah on Saturday, the day before she went missing. In the CCTV Sarah is wearing an outfit similar to what we believe she was wearing on Sunday so we hope this might help to jog the memories of those who may have seen her at any point in the last few days.

“We’d like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has been looking for Sarah and sharing our appeals to find her. This support is invaluable in making sure as many people as possible know that she is missing and can stay vigilant for any sightings.

“If anyone has information about Sarah please call 101 or if it is an immediate sighting, call 999.”

“Thank you for your support.”
