CCTV appeal following an assault at at The Whitby Way Public House

A 62-year-old man was attacked on Wellington Road on New Year's Day

North Yorkshire Police has issued CCTV of a woman they would like to speak to about an assault which occurred in Whitby.

It happened at The Whitby Way Public House, Wellington Road, Whitby at 8.40pm on Friday 1 January 2024 and involved an assault against a 62-year-old man from Whitby.

Police would like to speak to the person pictured on CCTV as we believe they will have important information that could assist their investigation.

Police are also requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, officers are appealing for information about a female who had been sat with the victim throughout the evening.
