The leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council is urging businesses to get the support they need.

It is as many shops in Bridlington have opened their doors again over the last few months, although some are still closed.

Jonathan Owen said:

"As we come out of lockdown and Covid and businesses start taking off again across the whole of the East Riding, I think it's a case of go online and look for your local business development centres, because they are actually scattered across the East Riding so we've got places like Bridlington and Driffield.

"Get in touch with them as the staff will have all the business support information people will need as to what they can do to improve their skills, what the opportunities are locally so again just be proactive, look online and the information will be there".
