Bridlington is set to have an online Easter egg trail in the spring

People are asked to register and submit a piece of art of something that shows what Easter means to them.

Maggie Masters, one of the organisers, said:

"We decided that people needed cheering up. So because of lockdown, we're going to try and do a trail that's actually online. We're asking people to draw a picture, paint a picture, make a model, anything they like.

"Once people have registered, we're going to give them a letter of the alphabet to incorporate in to their picture. They're going to then send us the pictures, we'll put them online and then people have to find the hidden letter and once they've unscrambled it, it'll be the answer to an Easter joke.

"We've got 30 entries already and we only opened it up a few days ago so we're doing well so far. We want as many people as possible so we can put as many Easter jokes in on the Facebook group, so people can join in and have some fun.

"We're just letting people do what they want and how they want. We're just going to put on the Facebook group Easter ideas such as using a cardboard egg box to make little chicks, people can use little scrunched up paper to make bunny rabbits."

People are being asked to register by mid-Feburary. You can do so by joining the Facebook group here or by messaging the Facebook page or emailing bridctt@gmail.com
