Six hour yacht rescue for Bridlington RNLI

Crews were called out to a yacht with engine failure last night

Bridlington RNLI were called out to a six hour rescue last night when a yacht suffered engine failure.

It happened at around 8.20pm 10 miles south of Flamborough Head when there were rough weather conditions.

The RNLI says the lone sailor was found well enough to stay aboard the 10m yacht as it was towed back to Bridlington harbour, which took around two hours.
