A jury's found a man from Bridlington guilty of two counts of attempting to sexually communicate with a child.

It is after a four-day trial last week.

It is after reports in September last year of a man handing out literature of a sexual nature.

65-year-old Simon Guy Shephard, who is from Promenade in Bridlington, was also found guilty by the jury of two counts of inciting sexual exploitation of a child.

He had previously denied all four charges when he first appeared in court back in October.

Shephard is due to be sentenced in April.
