A chance to walk and talk in Bridlington is returning as part of the relaunched programme of East Riding Health Walks.

From today, the weekly 'Mile Marker' walk will take place every Thursday at 10am.

Walkers are asked to meet at East Riding Leisure Bridlington to walk the Mile Markers.

The walk is being relaunched in Carers Week, but it will take place at the same location and at the same time every Thursday.

Carers are being encouraged to join the walk today (Thursday 10th June). Refreshments will be available afterwards, and the walk is for people of all abilities.

Councillor Kerri Harold, portfolio holder for public health and tackling inequalities, said:

“I am absolutely delighted that we are relaunching the Mile Marker Walk in Bridlington as part of East Riding Health Walks. People love visiting the Mile Markers in the town, and of course walking is proven to offer significant health benefits.

“Walking with other people safely in a group like this is a great chance to meet with others and to socialise whilst staying healthy!”
