Bridlington is set to welcome its second Christmas tree trail next month.

Residents, businesses, organisations and groups are being urged to register to take part, as the deadline is tomorrow.

The trail starts on Saturday 4th December with przies for the best dressed trees or displays.

Maggie Masters, one of the organisers, said:

"Either decorate a tree that represents a Christmas song, whether it be a pop song or a Christmas carol. Or they can do a display and we'd like them to, if possible, recycle bits and pieces to make the display but a display representing a Christmas song.

"We've seen a couple of ideas and it doesn't have to be a real or artificial Christmas tree, we've seen a tree that's made of wood that starts off small at the top and big at the bottom and on it are the 12 days of Christmas.

"Families who wish to take part we do have, which has been very kindly donated, a family ticket for the pantomine this year, so there'll be judging going around at the beginning of the trail. The winner of the family prize will have a ticket to the Spa.

"Businesses, community groups, residential care homes, scouts etc, we have a £50 gift voucher kindly donated by Heron so it's worth taking part. We need people to register by tomorrow."
