Bridlington Mayor announced

Councillor Liam Dealtry retains the role for the next 12 months.

Bridlington's Mayor for the forthcoming year has been announced.

Councillor Liam Dealtry has once again been appointed as the Mayor of Bridlington and his wife, Mrs Michelle Dealtry will be his Mayoress for the forthcoming civic year.

His chosen charities this year are Bridlington Sea Cadets, Bridlington RNLI Lifeboat, Fishermans Mission, Bridlington Royal Navy Association & Bridlington Submariners Association.

Councillor Mike Heslop-Mullens has been appointed as Deputy Mayor of Bridlington and his wife, Mrs Elaine Heslop-Mullens, will be his Deputy Mayoress.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bridlington for 2020-2021, Councillor Dealtry, presented his chosen charity, SSAFA, with a cheque for £3613.44 for the money he raised in his civic year last year.

Chairman of Bridlington Branch for SSAFA, Michael H. Menzies-Baird, said:

“As the chair of the SSAFA East Yorkshire branch – the Armed Forces Charity my sincere thanks for the incredible amount you raised as the Mayor for 2020/2021. The amount will benefit our client veterans, reserves, serving military and their families so yours and the publics efforts are so gratefully received.”

The new Mayors Cadet for this Civic Year is Ordinary Cadet (OC) Jamie Pulfrey, from Bridlington Sea Cadets.
