A Bridlington town centre street is to undergo road improvement work next month.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to carry out overnight resurfacing work on either side of the pelican crossing on Bridge Street.

It will be done under a road closure between the hours of 6.30pm and 6am from Wednesday 22nd March to Friday 24th March.

To allow for the resurfacing, the normal access to the one-way system on the whole length of Manor Street will be closed, so that it can be reversed and used as part of a signed diversion route for the traffic coming from Queen Street.

The work is expected to be completed on the night of Wednesday 22nd March, unless there is wet weather or unexpected issues, which means it could be extended over the nights of Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th March.

The work is due to be carried out by council contractor PBS Construction Ltd.
