Boy rescued after fall near Scarborough

The nine year-old fell 12 feet from rocks at Dalby Forest yesterday.

A boy's been airlifted to hospital, after an accident near Scarborough.

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team assisted Yorkshire Air Ambulance yesterday (Sunday 3rd May), at around 11.20am, after a nine-year old fell 12 feet from Bridestone rocks in Dalby Forest.

It had 20 volunteers and three team vehicles, either at the scene or travelling to it.

The rescue operation, to transfer the patient to a helicopter, lasted two hours.
