'No suspicious circumstances' after body found in Whitby

Police in Scarborough say there are "no suspicious circumstances" surrounding the death of a man, after a body was found in Whitby on Tuesday (September 06).

People had been asked to stay away from the town's East Pier while investigations took place.

North Yorkshire Police have confirmed the man was from Cleveland, and have thanked people in the area for their co-operation.
