Another coronavirus infection rate drop in Scarborough
The 7-day infection rate now stands at 56 cases per 100,000 people.

Scarborough’s coronavirus infection rate has once again fallen as the borough continues to suppress the spread of the virus.
The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people is now 56, down from 62 yesterday.
Scarborough is now averaging 9 new cases every day, almost half of what it was last week.
The average infection rate for England stands at 130 while in North Yorkshire as a whole has now dropped to 85.
One person has died in Scarborough this week within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic in the borough to 192.
Mobile testing facilities are available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this weekend for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
