Police in Scarborough say the death of a woman on Albemarle Crescent earlier this week is not suspicious.

The initial investigation has now finished and it was launched after the woman in her 40s was seen to fall from a ledge of a property on Monday 9th May.

Officers have now confirmed they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

The man who was arrested in connection with the incident has now been released from the investigation with no further action taken against him.

A report will now be prepared for the Coroner to inform a future inquest.
