York City have beaten Chorley Town in the first National League North play off eliminator.

Two goals by Lenell John Lewis and Mitch Hancox kept the Minstermen's promotion hopes alive.

The 2-1 win over the Lancashire outfit sets up John Askey's men with a semi final tie against Brackley Town in the next play off eliminator which takes place on Saturday (14 May).

In City's biggest attendance in 15 years, over 6,000 fans were at the LNER Community Stadium cheering on the team.
