Thousand of fans are expected to turn out tonight to watch York City in action.

After securing promotion last season the Minstermen are playing Middlesbrough in their first pre-season friendly in the National League.

It's the first match since the club was sold and it is now partly owned by the supporters Trust. Mike Brown is the Chairman and says he is hoping that the takeover will help put the club at the heart of the community. "Now is the perfect time for the moment to be seized for the club, the trust, the supporters, the players and the wider football family to really get behind the players and take it forward."
