York City pin hopes of Chorley win for promotion
Over 6,000 fans will be at the LNER Community Stadium to watch John Askey's side take on Chorley
Over 6,000 fans will be packed into the LNER Community Stadium today (Wednesday, 11 May) for the National League North play off game between York City and Chorley Town.
A win for John Askey's men would move them a step closer to National League football for next season.
It's a record attendance for York City - with over 6,000 tickets sold ahead of the game.
Fans - young and old - will be supporting their club from the terraces.
Speaking ahead of the game, York City player Akil Wright said:
"They've been behind us all season through the ups and the downs.
"Hopefully now in the playoffs we can give them something to cheer about."
Well wishes have been flooding in for the club:
