York City have announced that today's game against Chester FC at Bootham Crescent has been postponed.

It's because a number of Chester's first team players have tests positive for coronavirus.

A new date for the fixture will be arranged and announced in due course.

A Chester FC spokesperson said:

"Chester Football Club can confirm the first team has recorded a number of positive tests for COVID-19.

"Following guidance from the National League medical team, and in line with league and club protocols, our backroom staff and players will all now be required to self-isolate.

"As a result of this, (the) trip to York City is postponed."

City say anyone who had already purchased a streaming pass for the game and would like a refund should email mediaofficer@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk with the email you signed up to the stream with.

Programmes already printed and delivered will be used for the re-arranged fixture.

York City have sent their best wishes to Chester and those affected at this time.
