Woman suffers serious injuries in a hit-and-run in North Yorkshire

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a collision in Colburn.

The collision occurred at about 6pm on Tuesday 6 February 2024, on Horseshoe Close, when a vehicle collided with a pedestrian.

The woman in her 50s suffered a broken leg and broken shoulder. Her injuries are serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene, and the woman was found by members of the public who contacted the emergency services.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the collision - such as CCTV or dashcam footage - to contact them.
