Woman attacked in Selby

Police say she was punched in the face as she walked alone

A woman's been attacked in Selby.

She was alone, walking along Bright Walk yesterday evening (Monday, 11 October) when she was approached from behind by an unknown offender.

She was then punched in the face.

She was then kicked while on the floor and had money stolen from her pocket.

The suspect then made off.

Police are now appealing for information.

In a statement, a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:

'If you live in the vicinity and have any CCTV, or if you have witnessed the incident or have any information which can assist the police in their investigation, please ring 101 quoting ref: 12210219687.
