Two men have been arrested after a burglary at a petrol station in Haxby.
It happened around 1.25am today - at the Jet garage on Station Road.
Two men were seen to make-off on foot through back gardens, over the railway line and into a wooded area off Lady Kell Gardens.
A 34 year-old man and a 23 year-old man, from Scunthorpe, were arrested after a chase involving the police helicopter, and remain in custody.
Witnesses, nearby residents with private CCTV, or anyone with information about suspicious behaviour near the service station in recent days or weeks, are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.
