University of York pay tribute to student Harvey Parker
Police confirmed yesterday that a body pulled from the Thames was that of the missing York student

The University of York have paid tribute to their student Harvey Parker whose body was confirmed to be the one pulled from the River Thames.
Mr Parker, 20, from Lambeth, was last seen leaving Heaven Nightclub by Charing Cross Railway Station in Westminster at around 02.15 on Friday, 17 December.
In a Twitter thread, the University of York, said:
"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the death of our Music student, Harvey Parker.
"Our thoughts remain with Harvey’s family at this really difficult time, and the Department is liaising with the University’s student support team and the family to understand what we can do to help.
"We also want to support all Harvey’s friends and everyone in the University, so if anyone needs help or has been affected by the news, we want to remind you that we have help and support services available both on and off campus."
Police were alerted by the RNLI shortly before 12pm on Tuesday (4 January) to reports of a body in the Thames near Embankment, Westminster.
Officers from the Met’s Marine Support Unit recovered the body and the death is being treated as unexplained.
Inner West London Coroner's Court confirmed yesterday the body is that of 20-year-old Mr Parker.
