Three children assaulted in Selby

Police are asking anyone who has seen video footage of an assault in Selby to contact the,

Three children, aged seven, eight and nine, were walking a dog when they were approached by three older boys - who threatened and assaulted them.

Officers believe one of the boys may have videoed the incident on their phone.

It happened on a field behind Flaxley Road allotments - between 1pm and 2.30pm on Wednesday, 13 April.

The suspects are said to have been wearing tracksuits and balaclavas and riding bikes.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Understandably members of the community are shocked by what has happened. We would like to stress we believe this is an isolated incident.

"We would urge any members of the public who have video footage or who have witnessed the incident to contact us."

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
