Tadcaster crash victim named as 16-year-old Ellie Hague
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 16-year-old girl who died in a fatal collision in Tadcaster has been named as Eleanor Hague, known as Ellie.
Ellie, who lived in Sherburn in Elmet and attended sixth form at Tadcaster Grammar School, was a passenger in a white Mercedes Sprinter minibus involved in the collision with a Hyundai i10 on Toulston Lane at the junction with Rudgate.
The incident occurred at around 12.28pm on Monday, 1st December. Nine passengers, aged 16 to 18, were travelling in the minibus, which was heading towards Sherburn.
Emergency services attended the scene, but Ellie sadly died there. Another teenage girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The other passengers, along with the driver of the minibus, received treatment for minor injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 40-year-old woman from Leeds, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
She has been released on conditional bail following questioning.
North Yorkshire Police are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage relevant to the incident to come forward.
The road was closed overnight and has since been reopened.
Ellie’s family are being supported by specially trained police officers and have asked for privacy as they grieve.
