Police appeal following suspicious incident involving teenage girl in Richmondshire

Richmond Police are invstigating a suspicious incident near Caldwell village in North Yorkshire

It happened at around 4.10pm on 3rd November when a teenage girl got off a bus outside The Brownlow Arms.

When she started walking in the direction of Forcett, the girl became aware of an old-style Toyota Hilux pick-up truck without a canopy crawling behind her.

The vehicle then overtook her and stopped.

The girl felt that the two men inside the vehicle were staring at her. When she reached for her phone the vehicle left in the direction of Forcett.

The incident left the girl feeling shaken and upset.

Reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the area while the investigation is ongoing.

Police are seeking help to identify the men in the vehicle to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

The men are described as aged between 20 to 30. One has a beard and the other has dark hair.
