A 31-year-old man has been arrested following an aggravated burglary in Sowerby.

A cordon was put in place on Sunday (7th December) and people were asked to keep clear of the area as a search for the suspect was ongoing.

Officers have confirmed that a 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

The victims are receiving support and are being safeguarded following the incident, a North Yorkshire police spokesperson said.
