Seventh outbreak of bird flu confirmed in North Yorkshire

Another outbreak of bird flu has been confirmed in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
A 1.8 mile protection zone around the premises is now in place to try and contain the virus.
The new outbreak brings the total number of cases in England to 28.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said an Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) came into force across Great Britain on the 3 November.
However, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has said avian influenza is primarily a disease of birds and the risk to the general public's health is very low.
