Renewed appeal for two teenagers after a boy is punched in York

The 14-year-old was attacked as he walked with a friend in Acomb

Police have renewed their appeal to find two teenagers after a 14-year-old boy was punched in the face in York causing an injury to his eye.

The incident happened on Ridgeway in Acomb at around 5.20pm on Tuesday 3 September, as the victim was walking down the street with a friend. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspects are described as both male and aged between 14 and 17.

Officers are urging members of the public who were in the area at the time, to cast their minds back and get in touch if they recall seeing the incident involving the teenagers.

Police are also appealing to anyone who may have been driving past and may still have dashcam footage and to anyone who has any doorbell video footage that may have captured the incident or the suspects on camera, to come forward.
