Police find missing York children as search continues for others

North Yorkshire Police have confirmed they have found four missing children that had disappeared before returning home.

Harrison and Harper, who are twins and both aged 11, were found by officers after they were last seen at their homes in York on Saturday (March 16th).

12-year-old Lacie and 13-year-old Chelsea were initially not found, but were eventually tracked down by officers.

The children did not return home on Saturday night, prompting the search from North Yorkshire Police.

As a result, the boys and girls have been located are in good care, and the force has thanked those who helped to share the word.

In a post to their Facebook page, North Yorkshire Police confirmed the children were all found safe and well.

"Today we appealed for information about four missing children in York, aged 11 to 13," the force wrote.

"Following extensive searches of the city, all the two girls and two boys have all been found safe and well. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
