Police investigating rape in York
They're appealing for witnesses
Police are investigating, following a rape in York in the early hours of this morning (28 August 2024).
It happened between 3.30am and 4am in the Piccadilly and North Street areas of York.
The victim is receiving specialist support while extensive enquiries continue.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen something.
They are also keen to hear from any motorists or taxi drivers, who may have captured anything on dash-cam.
