Police believe North Yorkshire attempted murder suspect is in Rotherham

Detectives searching for a man wanted on suspicion of attempted murder believe he may currently be in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

They have also revealed another name that 19-year-old Jack Crawley could be using.

Officers are continuing to warn the public not to approach him but to report any possible sightings.

They believe he could be going by the pseudonym 'Kyle' following the attempted murder of a man near the village of Acaster Malbis, York, on the evening of Friday, 5 January.

Crawley is from Carlisle and has links to Leeds, Rotherham, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

He is described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, of proportionate build with very short hair and short facial hair.

He is left-handed and wears size 9.5 footwear.
