Police appeal for witnesses following an assault in Malton

A man was punched several times and needed hospital treatment

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following an assault in Malton.

It happened at around 4.30pm on Saturday 23 March outside the Morrison's Daily on Milton Avenue. During the incident a man received several punches to his face and a cut requiring hospital treatment.

A man was arrested a short time later and has since been bailed.

Officers are particularly appealing for any information about the assault, such as descriptions about the people involved or what took place, that could help with their investigation.
