Police appeal for witnesses following a hit-and-run in Sherburn-in-Elmet

A 13-year-old boy was knocked off his bike by a car on Easter Sunday

We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision on Moor Lane in Sherburn-in-Elmet outside the Swan Public House.

It happened at approximately 4.30pm on Sunday 31 March 2024 and involved a bicycle and a silver car.

The car did not stop and travelled towards the direction of Moor Lane.

The 13-year-old cyclist sustained minor injuries to his knee and finger during the incident but did not require hospital treatment.

We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage that could assist our investigation.
