Police appeal for witnesses after a taxi driver was threatened in York

Police are appealing for information following a road rage incident that happened in York.

At around 11.20am last Monday (6th May 2024), a man who was driving a Ford Mondeo followed a taxi from Crombie Avenue to Wigginton Road.

It was near to the first roundabout entrance to York District Hospital when the man then made verbal threats and damaged the taxi.

Officers say the area was busy with other motorists and members of the public at the time and they are now appealing for any witnesses or road users that may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
