Small independent North Yorkshire businesses 'more confident' about future
It's after they were hammered during the pandemic
We are told that small independent businesses in North Yorkshire are slowly starting to feel more confident about the future.
It is after they were hammered during the pandemic.
Carolyn Frank, who is from the Federation of Small Businesses in the county, said: "I would really encourage residents and your listeners to support the smallest businesses, the independents, get out there and spend whatever spare cash you've got. We know the cost of living is affecting everyone but those businesses do need support.
"Our recent quarterly small business index has shown a return of confidence within businesses which is great news. There's far more optimism than there has been in the proceeding six quarters so that's really positive news.
"Hospitality and tourism in particular is the least optimistic sector so there is a difference between sectors, but that return to confidence is really encouraging."
