Man seriously injured in assault in Northallerton

A 20 year-old man's been seriously injured in an assault in Northallerton.
It happened on Elder Road around 3.15am on Sunday 17 April.
The victim was left with lacerations to his face and a fractured eye socket.
An 18 year-old man was arrested and has been released on bail.
Officers are requesting anyone who was in the area at the time who saw the assault to contact them, so they can establish the full circumstances around the incident. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have capture dash cam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.
