Man charged with murder of Market Weighton woman

Rick Parker, aged 39, of Market Weighton has been charged with murder following the death of Helen Harrison. He’s also been charged with actual bodily harm in connection with the assault of a man on Sunday 19 February.

Parker has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday 9 March).

Officers were called to reports of a concern for safety at a property on Aspen Close in Market Weighton on Sunday 5 March.

Upon attending, it was discovered that Helen had sustained fatal injuries and was found dead at the scene.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, said:

“Due to previous contact we had with the victim, a mandatory referral has been made to the IOPC.”
