Man charged with drink driving near Thirsk

A 38 year-old man's been charged - after being caught nearly three times over the drink drive limit on the A1 near Thirsk.
Police were called to junction 49 at Dishforth around 8.15 this morning - after a car crashed into the central reservation.
The man, from Sunderland, was arrested and charged with drink driving.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "Officers patrol North Yorkshire’s Roads 24/7, 365 days of the year and they are trained to spot the tell-tale signs of drink and drug driving.
"Please report anyone you suspect of Drink Driving to us by dialling 101 – or 999 if someone is about to get behind the wheel of a car after a drink."
