Man charged with murder following incident at York train station

A man's been charged with murder following an incident at York train station.

Police were called to reports of a serious assault on Sunday evening.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital - but passed away yesterday with his family by his bedside

22-year-old Mckenzie DiCicco from Harsley Road in Stockton-on-Tees is due at York and Selby Magistrates Court later.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Sam Painter said:

“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones, who are being supported by specialist family liaison officers. We ask that their privacy is respected at this time.

“A man has been charged in connection with this incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.”
