Man left with broken jaw after serious assault in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after incident on Coney Street.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to an attack which happened on Coney Street, opposite the Next store, on 22 August.

Police were called at approximately 1.45am to reports of an incident involving six men, two of which were assault with one sustaining a broken jaw.

A police spokesperson said: "The six men involved are believed to be in their late teens to early 20’s. Two were wearing white t-shirts with blue jeans, one was wearing a black t-shirt with blue jeans and another was seen to be wearing a camouflage shirt with black jeans."

Police are keen to identify the offenders and want to know which direction they left the scene after the incident, including if they were seen elsewhere in the city before or after the assault.
