Rugby legend Kevin Sinfield kicks start his 7 in 7 in 7 challenge today, from Headingley Stadium. The home of Leeds Rhino's, where he played with Rob Burrow MBE, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, three years ago, this month.
Ever since Burrow's diagnosis, Sinfield has undertaken three gruelling challenges, raising millions of pounds for the MND community, which goes to charities researching the disease and The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, in Leeds.
"There are a thousand reasons why we shouldn't go again, and I'm not going to make any excuses at all, but there's one big reason why we should, and that's Rob and representing this beautiful community"
The fourth and latest fundraiser will combine elements from the three previous challenges.
The 7 in 7 in 7 Challenge will see Sinfield and his team run an ultra marathon every day for seven days in seven cities around Great Britain and Ireland.
Each run will be a marathon with an extra mile to signify the extra mile people can all go to help their friends in tough times.
The extra mile event each day will see invited guests join Sinfield for one mile. The aim is to complete each day's run in under four hours.
The latest challenge begins today (1 December), with Sinfield and his team leaving Headingley Stadium for York Minster.
The second day will see the team travel to Cardiff, day three to Birmingham and on day four they'll travel to Edinburgh, crossing the Forth Bridge and ending at Murrayfield.
Dublin will host Sinfield and his team on the fifth day, with the team heading to Brighton the following day.
The challenge is due to end on 7 December with the team running from Twickenham Stadium to the Mall.
Kevin Sinfield only announced his fourth challenge last month, he said, “Here we go again! I did say last year that the Ultra 7 in 7 would complete the trilogy but there was always that caveat that Rocky 4 was my favourite Rocky film.
"The MND community have always given us incredible support and we wanted to find a way that we could show that support for more people around the country."
